ANDREWS Arthur Glenn , a Representative from Alabama; born in Anniston, Calhoun County, Ala., January 15, 1909; attended the Birmingham public schools; graduated from Phillips High School and Mercersburg Academy; Princeton University, A.B., 1931; associated with National City Bank of New York, 1931-1933; International Business Machines, 1933-1936; district manager of an Eastman Kodak subsidiary, 1936-1946, and in advertising, 1946-1970; candidate for State house of representatives in 1956 and for secretary of state in 1958; delegate, Republican National Convention, 1964; elected as a Republican to the Eighty-ninth Congress (January 3, 1965-January 3, 1967); unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1966 to the Ninetieth Congress; Republican Fourth District Chairman, Alabama; unsuccessful candidate for election in 1970 to the Ninety-second Congress; trustee in bankruptcy court, 1973-1985; died on September 25, 2008, in White Plains, Ala.
