Suzanne Pleshette was an actress best known for her role as Emily Hartley on “The Bob Newhart Show“ in the 1970s. The series ran on CBS's Saturday night line-up for six seasons, from 1972 to 1978. Pleshette also had a film career-her debut film in 1958 was a Jerry Lewis comedy called “The Geisha Boy.“ In 1962, she starred in “Rome Adventure,“ which made her known to the teenage audience, and she also appeared in the Alfred Hitchcock film, “The Birds,“ in 1963. Pleshette received four Emmy Award nominations, first for a guest performance on “Dr. Kildare“ in 1962, twice for “The Bob Newhart Show,“ and again in 1991 for her role in “Leona Helmsley: the Queen of Mean.“ He last role was on NBC's “Will & Grace“ between 2002 and 2004.
