Stanley Kamel was an actor best known for his role as a psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Kroger, on the television detective series, Monk. Kamel was born in New Jersey and worked as an actor for almost 40 years, mainly in television. He started his career Off-Broadway, and then landed his first TV role in the 1970s on Days of Our Lives, playing Eric Peters. Kamel went on to play roles in other series including Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, and later Monk. He died of a heart attack at the age of 65.
