Robert Adler

physicist and inventor
Died: Feb. 15, 2007 (Boise, Idaho)

Inventor who held about 200 U.S. patents, the most famous of which was the first wireless television remote control. He invented the device, called the Zenith Space Command, which was introduced in 1956, with Zenith colleague Eugene Polley.
