The Question:

Was there ever a pro football game in which a team scored over 100 points?

The Answer:

No. The Washington Redskins came closest on Nov. 27, 1966, when they scored 72 points against the New York Giants.

In fact, only twice have two teams combined for more than 100 points in a game:

  • 113 points: Washington (72) def. N.Y. Giants (41), 11/17/66
  • 101 points: Oakland (52) def. Houston (49), 12/22/63
