Concerning the old classic movies of Little Rascals or Our Gang Comedies... whatever happened to Spanky McFarland? I heard that he was killed making a movie — is this true??

Thanks for e-mailing Information Please. According to the Internet Movie Database, George "Spanky" McFarland died on June 30, 1993 of a heart attack. His last cinematic appearance was in 1986's sci-fi children's western The Aurora Encounter.

Interestingly, there never was a film called The Little Rascals until 1994, when it was "remade" with a whole new set of adorable little scamps.
