The Question:

On your Standard Measurements in Sports page you left out the lane width of the bowling lane. Can you tell me what it is?

The Answer:

The width of a bowling lane is 3 feet, 6 inches. The length is 60 feet from the foul line to the head pin.

The first 12 ft. of wooden lanes is made of maple, the next 46 is made of pine and the area where the pins stand (the pindeck) is made of maple.
