The Question:

Can you tell me what year and what model of car was the first to have a heater installed?

The Answer:

The first car to feature a factory-installed heating/air conditioning system was the 1939 Packard, made by the Packard Motor Car Company.

The car was publically exhibited for the first time Nov. 4-12, 1939 at the 40th Automobile Show in Chicago.

The refrigerating/heating coils were located behind the rear seat and took up the entire trunk.
